Wimberley is a giving community which has warmly welcomed WAG Rescue and our efforts to save dogs. WAG Rescue belongs to the community, because without your support WAG Rescue would not exist. Our five year goal is to have a dog rescue & adoption facility in the Wimberley area. The closest no-kill shelter is in Kyle, Texas, a small facility that is over burdened. Our goal of building a center is a commitment to the community to care for neglected, lost and abandoned dogs and share the responsibility of this increasing population with the area rescues and shelters. Although the Center will help in the ongoing work of WAG Rescue we will not abandon our Foster Home Program. Foster homes play a vital role in the socialization of a rescued dog. It will be a great match of Foster Care and Adoption Center to accommodate all the needs of our dogs.
